Goji berries are one of my favourite ways to brighten any dish. They create a delicious sweet tartness to whatever you add them too. They are great in biscuits, raw desserts, and salads and for garnish on just about anything. Well I think its time that the Goji Berry needs to take centre stage.

In this recipe, I’ve teamed them with some raspberries and frozen banana for the most delicious smoothie bowl recipe.

Apart from their deliciousness I love goji’s because they contain all essential amino acids and have the highest concentration of protein of any fruit. They are also loaded with vitamin C, contain more carotenoids than any other food, have twenty-one trace minerals, and are high in fiber. Boasting 15 times the amount of iron found in spinach, as well as calcium, zinc, selenium and many other important trace minerals, there is no doubt that the humble goji berry is a nutritional powerhouse.
