This is the ultimate pre workout smoothie. Shane laughed at me when I first told him about dateorade, he couldn’t believe this would taste good. It was only when I suggest that he add a shot of coffee into it that he was sold (Shane LOVES coffee!)

We use cold drip coffee, which is a concentrated version, but you could use espresso and just allow to cool before you add it to the blender.

The dates and the coconut water add carbohydrates and electrolytes to give you fuel for your day or your workout.

INGREDIENT

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 6 Medjool dates
  • 2 cups of coconut water
  • 1 shot of coffee (optional)

METHOD

  1. Add all ingredients into a high-powered blender.
  2. Process on high until smooth (40sec/speed 10) and transfer into a large glass jar
